Thyra & Magnolia Road are Karin Thyr and Göran Eriksson — a Swedish husband-and-wife duo who met on tour thirty years ago and have been writing songs together ever since. They call their sound "Swedicana": roots-driven country and Americana with Swedish folk sensibility and Nashville craft.
Their recordings have accumulated more than 74 million Spotify streams, with multiple tracks past the million mark. Their acoustic interpretations of Robyn's "Dancing On My Own" and Katy Perry's "Firework" were certified Gold and Platinum by IFPI, and their original "Witchcraft" has grown into a quiet fan favorite — 700,000+ streams and more than 1,100 user-generated videos. For fifteen years they've made regular songwriting trips to Nashville, where they've found a second home in the East Nashville community — a connection reflected in releases like Nashville Songs & Stories (2020) and Stockholm Tennessee (2022), and in their Spotify audience, where the top two cities are Nashville and Stockholm.
Their current single, "Time is Money," is about what the grind costs you in the moments that actually matter. Recently seen on Swedish national television's Bingolotto, they tour Sweden in summer 2026, joined by Nashville co-writers Chris Roberts and Mark Evitts.
