Thyra & Magnolia Road
Thyra & Magnolia Road are Swedish husband-and-wife duo Karin Thyr and Göran Eriksson, who have shared life, stages and songs for 30 years.
Somewhere between Stockholm and Nashville, they found a sound of their own: Swedicana. Country and Americana shaped by Swedish melancholy, storytelling and melodies that linger.
With IFPI Gold and Platinum records, more than 74 million Spotify streams and years of writing and making music in Nashville, Karin and Göran have created a musical world with one foot on each side of the Atlantic.

Two people. Thirty years together. And a musical life somewhere between Stockholm and Nashville.
Karin Thyr and Göran Eriksson met on tour thirty years ago. Music brought them together and has been part of their story ever since, through life, marriage, songwriting, touring and countless journeys across the Atlantic.
Today they are Thyra & Magnolia Road, and somewhere along the way, the music they make found a name of its own: Swedicana.
It is Country and Americana rooted in Nashville, but with something unmistakably Swedish running through the melodies and stories. Melancholy, warmth and that Scandinavian sense that beauty and sadness often live surprisingly close together.
Their music has reached far beyond Sweden. With more than 74 million streams on Spotify and IFPI Gold and Platinum records, Karin and Göran have built a catalogue that spans original songs as well as acclaimed acoustic interpretations of songs including Robyn’s “Dancing On My Own” and Katy Perry’s “Firework.”
Some of their most meaningful successes, however, have happened quietly. Their original song “Witchcraft” grew organically to more than 700,000 streams and has inspired over 1,100 fan-created videos around the world.
For the past fifteen years, Nashville has become a second musical home. Karin and Göran return regularly to write and create with the community of musicians and songwriters they have come to know there, particularly in East Nashville. That life between two places can be heard throughout their music and on albums including Nashville Songs & Stories and Stockholm Tennessee.
Perhaps it is fitting, then, that two of the places where their music has found its strongest audiences are Stockholm and Nashville.
In 2026, Thyra & Magnolia Road continued building that bridge across the Atlantic. They toured Sweden with Nashville friends and collaborators Chris Roberts and Mark Evitts, while their single “Time Is Money”, a song about what the constant pursuit of more can make us miss in the moments that matter most brought them to Swedish national television and TV4’s Bingolotto.
Now the story continues with “Blue,” written by Karin and Göran together with Chris Roberts and Kinsey Rose, and featuring Mark Evitts on fiddle.
For Karin and Göran, the music has never been about choosing between Sweden and Nashville, country and Americana, home and away. It is somewhere in between that Swedicana was born.
